On February 1, 2008, Sylvan Eye openned a branch office in Merced. Joining with Tom Corbett, M.D., our team of ophthalmologists and optometrists are now in Merced also. Dr Lutosky will be there on Mondays, Drs. Guida and Janda on Tuesdays, Dr Corbett on Wednesdays, and (new to Sylvan Eye) Dr. Wang on Thursdays.

One of the biggest challenges to setting up essentially a new office is getting credentialed by all the various agencies and insurace companies. As we get approved we will be able see patients with almost all insurances. Currently we are approved for V.S.P., most routine vision insurances, and Medi-Care, but not Medi-Cal, AllCare or Blue Cross. Tri-care is set to start June 1st.
